Phonics
Phonics is the foundation of reading and writing — and getting it right early makes an enormous difference. I use a structured, systematic approach to teach letter sounds, blending, and segmenting in a way that feels playful and achievable.
What I cover
- Individual letter sounds (grapheme–phoneme correspondence)
- Blending sounds to read words
- Segmenting words for spelling
- Digraphs, trigraphs and common exception words
- Aligned to the Phonics Screening Check where relevant

Ideal for children in Reception and KS1 who are just starting out, or those who need to revisit and consolidate earlier sounds before moving forward.

Reading
Reading is so much more than decoding words on a page. I help children develop fluency, expression, and genuine comprehension — the ability to understand, question, and enjoy what they read. I also love helping children discover books they actually want to read.
